About this app

Cargo Polis Driver is an Android app for drivers taking part in a trip. The phone provides location updates, and the company receives the agreed information in its Cargo Polis web workspace.

Before recording, check your account and connected phone; for a trip, also review the organization, assignment and recipients. Connecting and starting recording are separate actions. Using the app requires service access; downloading the APK alone is not enough.

   Connect to your account or a trip

   Sign in to your account and connect your phone through “My phone”. For a single trip, open the organizer's invitation link, QR code or code. Review the terms before starting.

   Explicit start and stop

   Your action starts recording. Stopping ends capture on the phone immediately, even while server confirmation is pending.

   Updates during the trip

   Report arrival, loading, unloading or a problem. These updates help participants understand the trip stage.

   A queue when the network drops

   The app stores recorded points on the phone and retries delivery when the connection returns. The “Delivery diagnostics” menu shows delivery stages and errors. The journal stays on the phone and is copied only when you choose. Diagnostics also show the selected location provider and the provider of the latest point.

Location and permissions

Driver uses location data. Before recording, review its purpose and the recipients who will have access.

Location

Precise location is needed to record a route. Android may request a separate background permission and show an ongoing notification.

Camera

Used to scan a QR code. Connecting with a code does not require the camera.

Internet

Locations are sent to Cargo Polis and made available to participants under the connection terms. A temporary queue is kept on the phone.

Data processing terms and participant access are agreed before joining a pilot.

From download to your first trip

1. Download the APK on your Android phone

   You need Android 7.0 or later and a 64-bit ARM processor (ARM64). Select “Download Driver 10132” and open the downloaded file. You can verify it against the SHA-256 in the build information.

2. Allow installation from your browser

   If Android asks, allow installation from your browser and confirm. You can turn that permission off after installation.

3. Sign in to your account

   Open “Личное” (Personal). If you are not signed in, select “Авторизоваться” (Sign in) in “Аккаунт” (Account) and use your existing account inside Driver. Registration and password recovery are available on the sign-in form.

4. Check your state in Personal

   Check the Account, Location and family blocks. If Driver offers “Подключить телефон” (Connect phone), open that action in the app and follow its steps. An already connected phone does not need to be connected again.

5. Start recording when you need it

   In Personal → Location, select “Начать запись” (Start recording) and grant the required Android permissions. Use “Пауза” (Pause) to pause and “Продолжить” (Resume) to resume. Family sharing has its own state in the family block.

For a work assignment, open “Работа” (Work), accept the customer's assignment and then select “Начать выполнение” (Start work). Recording and recipients are controlled explicitly.

Already have an invitation for one trip? Open the organizer's link, or go to “Work” → “Connect to a trip by PIN or QR”. Review the organization, trip and recipients, confirm the connection and start work separately. This is another way to connect to a single trip.

Install updates over the existing app. If you already have a newer test build, contact us instead of uninstalling it to install this version. Before uninstalling or clearing app data, make sure the records you need have been sent: the local queue is removed with the app.
